Using Twitter hashtags to teach The Wire at UW-Madison

The other half of my academic life involves teaching undergraduates, and I'm pursuing some interesting pedagogical innovations at UW-Madison. One of them involves using Twitter to teach my "Narratives of Justice and Equality in Multicultural America" course, which has the HBO drama The Wire as its main text. Alex Kowalsky recently wrote (here) about how courses like ours are using hashtags to help promote student learning. (Ours is #wire275.)
